Junior Automation Engineer

The Junior Automation Maintenance Engineer is responsible for assisting in the preventive and corrective maintenance of automation systems and equipment. Your role will involve supporting troubleshooting, routine checks, and repair of control systems to ensure minimal downtime and optimal performance of automated machinery. You will be responsible for performing routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance on automation systems such as PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and actuators. Additionally, you will assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues in automated production lines or machines. Supporting the calibration, tuning, and updating of control programs and logic as directed by senior engineers will also be part of your responsibilities. Maintaining documentation of all maintenance activities, breakdown records, and system configurations will be crucial. You will collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure minimal disruption to operations during maintenance and ensure safety compliance while following all standard operating procedures. Monitoring the performance of automation systems and reporting irregularities to the senior team, as well as assisting in the replacement and installation of faulty electrical and control components, will also be part of your duties. Providing support during equipment upgrades, retrofitting, or new installations, and maintaining an inventory of critical automation spare parts and tools will be essential for the role.
