Junior Accounting Specialist

Key Responsibilities: - TDS Compliance: Calculate, deduct, and deposit TDS as per statutory guidelines; prepare and file quarterly TDS returns (Form 24Q/26Q) and issue certificates (Form 16A). - GST Compliance: Ensure accurate GST input tax credit reconciliation, prepare and file monthly/quarterly GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), and resolve discrepancies. - Account Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliations of vendor/customer accounts, bank statements, and ledger entries to ensure financial integrity. - Customer/Vendor Relations: Address billing inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and maintain professional communication with stakeholders. - Reporting & Documentation: Maintain organized records of financial transactions, prepare aging reports, and assist in month-end/year-end closing activities. - Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in AR/AP workflows and propose solutions to enhance productivity. Required Skills & Competencies: - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software. - Working knowledge of TDS provisions, GST filing processes, and familiarity with compliance portals. - Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and financial reporting standards. - Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Qualifications: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (required). - Internship experience in finance/accounting will be considered for exceptional candidates. - Certification in TDS/GST compliance or coursework in taxation (preferred but not mandatory).
