Full Job Description This position is responsible for supporting the Reproductive Regeneration Program; for collection, processing, storing and the infusion of peripheral blood and bone marrow products used during infertility treatments. Key Tasks • Performs blood and bone marrow processing, receipt, release and return (per SOP). • Assists with the collection of bone marrow in the operating room and operates standard lab equipment required for the processing and characterization of blood derived products. • Performs in vitro culture assays under cGMP conditions and demonstrates use of aseptic technique to perform in vitro cell culture and ex vivo expansion of tissue isolates. • Professional interaction with clinical staff and patient population. • Documents patient information, eligibility, chart preparation and review in an accurate and timely manner. Coordinates physician communication as needed to ensure accurate processing directives. • Performs quality control procedures for both the equipment and laboratory. Successfully participates in laboratory proficiency program. • Reviews collection, processing and general Standard Operating Procedures including authorship assignments, review and acknowledgements in database. • Performs validation procedures with regard to establishment, optimization and change of SOP and use of equipment and reagents. Responsible for reproducibility and accuracy of data and analyses. Assists in the collation of data and report preparation. • Manages project timelines, budgets, scope and labor. Minimum Qualifications, experience and requirements • Minimum requirements for this position are a B.Sc or M.Sc in life sciences or B. Tech Biotechnology or related biomedical subject • Excellent time management and organizational skills • High standard of organizational, verbal and written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
