Jr Engineer (Quality)

As a Quality Engineer in the Machine shop Inline at Ludhiana Sahnewal, your primary responsibilities will include: - Inspecting the part using gauges, micro meters, callipers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring tools. - Tagging and segregating defective parts and communicating issues to machine operators and supervisors immediately. - Conducting patrol inspections as per control plan and inspection standard during production to ensure consistency. - Filling out setup and inspection reports, as well as maintaining traceability of inspected parts (serial numbers, batch numbers, etc.). - Inspecting the parts at various machining stages such as Turning, Milling, Grinding, and Drilling. - Inspecting dimensions, surface finish, and visual appearance against drawings or control plans. - Performing Set up Approval during new settings and conducting First-Off (First Piece) Inspection at the start of each batch or shift. - Recording non-conformities in rejection notes and major rejections in the event log book. - Maintaining housekeeping and adhering to the 5S principles. - Providing feedback on recurring issues to the Quality or Production manager. - Participating in root cause discussions and suggesting process improvements. - Handling and storing instruments safely to maintain accuracy and ensuring calibration of measuring instruments. Qualifications required for this role: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering. - 0-2 years of relevant experience in a similar role within the Automotive industry.
