Job Description The role of the INSTRUCTOR is deliver and array of training programs related to their area of subject matter expertise and to assessor student learning in order to determine competence KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS: Teaches courses according to the GSS course packages and in accordance with defined course standards and outcomes. Creates a learning environment that encourages student involvement and participation. Documents students attendance, participation, and academic progress by assessing performance both theoretically and practically. Provides feedback both verbally and by issuing reports to students within expected time frames. Updates administration systems with results and issues certificates. Performs maintenance, inspection and testing of equipment and facilities when required to do so. Provides subject matter input to the product development team. Provide MER Level 1 response in the event of an emergency Training: Instructing individuals on the safe use of lifting equipment and accessories . Inspection: Conducting thorough examinations and inspections of lifting equipment to ensure it is in safe working order . Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of inspections and examinations . Risk Assessment : Evaluating and mitigating risks associated with lifting operations . Compliance: Ensuring adherence to relevant legislation and regulation s. Communication : Clearly explaining safety procedures and providing guidance to other personnel .
