Reports To: Plant Head Location: Nigeria Job Type: Full-time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing electrical and instrumentation systems for our Rice Mill and Power Generation Plant. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and instrumentation engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and test electrical and instrumentation systems, including but not limited to: Electrical power distribution systems Instrumentation and control systems Automation systems Safety systems Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Troubleshoot and maintain existing electrical and instrumentation systems to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, and other engineering disciplines to ensure effective communication and collaboration. Ensure compliance with relevant electrical and instrumentation standards, regulations, and codes. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate documentation, including but not limited to: 1. Design documents 2. Test reports 3. Maintenance records 4. Project reports Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to optimize electrical and instrumentation systems. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering/Diploma in electrical & Instrumentation engineering or related field. Minimum 8-10 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering, preferably in the Rice Industry or other foods manufacturing unit. Proven track record of successful project management and execution. Skills : Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation engineering principles, codes, and standards. Proficiency in design and simulation software, such as AutoCAD, ETAP, SCADA, Programming or similar etc. Solar plant generation experience preferable, not mandatory. Process losses analysis like transformer losses, cable losses, power distribution/Unit utilization summaries and also ensure the Zero export of units if load is vary during the process. Ensure health of electrical equipments /plan the maintenance schedule and smooth functional operations. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent. Electrical Engineer (CEE) or Certified Instrumentation and Control Technician (CICT), are desirable.
