CBSE High School Social Science Teacher Job Title: High School Social Science Teacher Location: Narayana Etechno School Job Type: Full-time/Part-time Reports to: Principal/Head of Department Job Summary: The Social Science Teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics, following the CBSE curriculum. The teacher must foster critical thinking, social awareness, and a deep understanding of historical and contemporary issues. Key Responsibilities:1. Curriculum Planning & Instruction: Develop lesson plans and instructional materials in line with the CBSE syllabus. Teach Social Science subjects to high school students (Grades 6-10). Incorporate innovative teaching methods, including technology, group discussions, and project-based learning. Ensure the holistic development of students by integrating real-world applications of Social Science concepts. 2. Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Establish and enforce classroom rules and behavior expectations. Encourage student participation and facilitate interactive discussions. 3. Assessment & Evaluation: Prepare and evaluate assignments, tests, and projects as per CBSE guidelines. Provide constructive feedback to students and track their academic progress. Conduct periodic assessments to identify and address learning gaps. 4. Student Guidance & Mentoring: Support students in their academic growth and career planning. Encourage critical thinking and ethical reasoning in social issues. Address student queries and concerns with patience and understanding. 5. Collaboration & Professional Development: Coordinate with fellow teachers, school administrators, and parents to ensure student success. Attend training programs, workshops, and faculty meetings. Stay updated with the latest CBSE policies, teaching methodologies, and global trends in Social Sciences. 6. Extracurricular & School Activities: Organize and participate in social science exhibitions, debates, quizzes, and field trips. Guide students in preparing for CBSE board exams, competitions, and research projects. Qualifications & Requirements: Master’s degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related field. B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) degree (mandatory as per CBSE norms). Prior experience teaching Social Science in a CBSE school is preferred. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Proficiency in using digital tools and online teaching platforms. Preferred Skills: Passion for teaching and mentoring students. Ability to simplify complex concepts and make lessons engaging. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Familiarity with CBSE exam patterns and evaluation methods.
