Monitoring and handling of cargo handling activities of unloading/ loading at Chennai Port. Reporting to the Trading head on a day-to-day basis. Coordinate with the Surveyor, security gate and transporters for loading and unloading of material; Minimize trade losses and port losses due to demurrage, detention, tank rent, etc., by ensuring timely unloading of vessel cargo; Responsible for reviewing all documents as per the SOP. LR Copy, challan and Weighment slip (audited) for each vehicle to be sent to Accounts team for Invoicing. Maintain Invoice file on month-on-month basis at the port office as well as validate the billing of customers in coordination with the Finance and Accounts team Coordinating with traders, brokers, customers and logistics and Transporters as per requirement for resolution of any issues regarding Cargo. Coordination with the custom clearing agents for enabling the shipment reaching the customers within the delivery schedule. Managing relevant documentation MIS and reporting of the status of the vessel movement and cargo status on a day-to-day to the Management.
