Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers and vendors for medical equipment and consumables.
Prepare and issue purchase orders (POs) based on approved requisitions and budgets.
Obtain quotations, compare pricing, and participate in negotiation processes to ensure cost-effective procurement.
Coordinate with vendors for order confirmation, dispatch schedules, and delivery timelines.
Ensure proper documentation for procurement, including purchase requisitions, quotations, POs, delivery notes, and invoices.
Maintain and update supplier databases, price lists, and purchase records.
Work closely with the stores, accounts, and logistics teams to ensure accurate inventory levels and smooth supply chain operations.
Support import-related documentation and liaise with clearing agents if required.
Ensure compliance with medical equipment standards, regulatory norms, and quality control procedures.
Assist in evaluating supplier performance based on quality, price, and delivery parameters.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in the
medical equipment or healthcare sector
.
Knowledge of medical devices, consumables, and related regulatory requirements is an advantage.
Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
