Role Overview:
We are looking for a Banking & Finance Executive who will directly support the Business Strategy Manager in handling day-to-day banking operations, financial analysis, and compliance-related activities. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth execution of banking transactions, utilization of credit facilities, issuance of Letters of Credit, and maintaining structured financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be Excel-savvy, process-driven, and eager to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Banking Coordination
- Coordination with bank RM/branches for routine banking queries.
- Manage banking operations and transactions.
- Track overdraft/cash credit limit utilization on a daily basis.
2. Debt & Limit Utilization Monitoring
- Maintain and update daily utilization reports for OD, CC, LC, and BG.
- Follow up with banks for disbursement, rollover, or renewal of facilities.
- Ensure timely submission of stock and debtors statements to banks.
3. LC/BG Handling
- Coordinate with vendors and banks for LC/BG issuance and amendments.
- Maintain detailed records and tracking sheets for all outstanding LCs/BGs.
4. Statement & Financial Data Analysis
- Analyze daily bank statements to identify charges, interest debits, and anomalies.
- Reconcile bank transactions with internal books.
- Prepare concise Excel-based reports for management review
5. Support in Strategic Debt Planning
- Assist in preparing documentation for new facility proposals and renewals.
- Collate data for CMA reports, financial projections, and compliance documents.
- Ensure timely follow-up on bank covenants and compliance obligations.
6. Learning & Development
- Demonstrate initiative in learning banking and finance processes.
- Stay updated with banking products, credit instruments, and digital platforms
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in a finance/accounts/banking support role.
- Proficiency in Excel (Vlookup, pivot tables, data validation, etc.).
- Familiarity with LC/BG procedures and credit facility tracking.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Analytical mindset with an eagerness to learn and grow.
