Role & responsibilities 3 5 years experience in design (2D & 3D). Proficiency in tyre design, development and manufacturing. Preferred candidate profile Plant experience will be an added advantage.

Job Description Job Title : Product Development 2/3 Wheeler Main Purpose of Job (Why job exists/what it must achieve) Level: TBD Product Development engineer in 2/3 Wheeler tyres and improve existing products to meet customer requirements and organizational needs aimed at total customer satisfaction and highest market realization. Reports to: Head 2/3 Wheeler Organization Unit / Location RPSCoE, Mysuru Main Responsibilities / Job Summary (Primary deliverables of role and its scope) Lead Product Development activities to prepare Product brief and preparation of timing chart, DFMEA, TES, PRQS, Layout review documents of prototype/ Prelaunch Production tyres etc.) Create Design Inputs for New products (Cavity design, Tread Pattern Design, Sidewall design etc) Co-ordination with PI team for Product Industrialization, PPAP documents. Preparation of TIA, performance follow up on New designs / Test tyres of Truck category Analysis of plant wise/ SKU wise/ defect wise claim report for 2/3 W category. Competitor tyre analysis- Co-ordination with supporting functions for testing and analysis of tyres. Monitoring of cost reduction/ improvement programs with manufacturing plants. Interaction with plants to ensure for smooth design changes, implementation of corporate standards and work instructions. Initiate Value Engineering projects in Truck and maintain product leadership.
