Java/Open Shift Developer

Role Overview: As a Java/OpenShift Developer at NTT DATA, you will be responsible for leveraging OpenShift, Kubernetes, and DevOps practices to develop enterprise-grade microservices and optimize performance. You will contribute to writing high-quality Java code, designing and deploying Java applications in containerized environments, and automating deployments through CI/CD pipelines. Key Responsibilities: - Write high-quality Java code using java frameworks (Spring, Struts, etc.) - Design, develop, and deploy Java applications in containerized environments using Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Docker. - Write high-quality database queries, store procedures, and functions to manipulate the database data to the desired format (Oracle PLSQL). - Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible for automating deployments and streamlining workflows. - Write unit tests and load test scripts. - Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle. - Participate in application design with the Technical Lead and create technical documentation like flow diagrams. - Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues such as performance, capacity, replication, etc. - Optimize processes for speed and efficiency to handle the volume, velocity, and variety of data. - Collaborate with clients to deliver scalable and maintainable code. - Understand infrastructure requirements for the application. - Develop streamlined CI/CD processes for application development. Qualifications Required: - 7+ years of experience building large-scale Java applications. - Hands-on experience with OpenShift, including automation and scripting for building infrastructure. - Good communication skills with the ability to lead domain discussions with BFSI customers.
