Java & Python Developer

As a Backend Developer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance backend solutions to handle large volumes of requests and data. You will write efficient, maintainable, and testable code in Java, Node.js, and Python for our microservices architecture. Additionally, you will develop and maintain RESTful APIs, work with GraphQL where appropriate, and ensure seamless integration with front-end services and external systems. In this role, you will design and optimize SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.) database schemas to ensure efficient data storage, querying, and integrity. You will also be responsible for designing and implementing distributed messaging systems (Kafka) to handle asynchronous processing and communication across services. Identifying bottlenecks, optimizing systems for speed, scalability, and efficiency, and maintaining high availability will be key aspects of your role. As a Backend Developer, you will provide technical leadership by conducting code reviews using SonarCube, mentoring junior developers, and promoting best practices in backend development. You will ensure robust testing frameworks are in place (unit, integration, end-to-end) and document backend solutions for clarity and maintainability. Collaboration with DevOps engineers to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate testing, and streamline the deployment process is also a crucial part of this role. Preferred qualifications for this position include experience in backend development with a strong focus on Java, Node.js, and Python, expertise in designing and optimizing both SQL (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases, and in-depth knowledge of distributed queuing systems (e.g., Kafka) and their integration with microservices architectures. Strong experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs, working with GraphQL, familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS), and proficiency in using Git for version control are also preferred qualifications. If you have experience in building and maintaining microservices architectures, leveraging containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and a strong understanding of security practices including secure authentication (OAuth, JWT), data encryption, and API security, you would be a strong fit for this role. Excellent analytical and debugging skills to solve complex technical problems and optimize system performance are also desired qualities for this position.,
