This position is for a technology expert who will be responsible for multiple applications within Capital Markets / Investment Banking The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience designing, building and integrating systems in a multi-tier environment Strong Java and Web development experience is essential Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential Responsibilities will include working with business analysts to full-fill the requirements and supporting solutions using JavaScript, Java, Sybase To be successful in this role, the candidate must be eager to create robust, well-tested solutions that satisfy real business problems Job ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the development, maintenance and support of multiple distributed applicationsTranslate high-level business requirements on multiple, complex requests into detailed functional, technical, and system specifications Connect with Business stakeholders on gathering the detailed requirements as requiredTest software designs and solutions (including debugging and troubleshooting)Estimation & end to end execution of required changes/ app building, coordination with stakeholders as requiredProvide assistance and guidance during the QA & UAT testing phases to ensure test cases are appropriate and determine the root cause and best resolution of escalated issues Work with data management team and data providers to communicate and define any data and reporting requirements SkillsExcellent communication, teamwork and interpersonal skills Strong analytical capability and problem-solving skills Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or relevant technical degree More than 5 years of work experience in software development Computer Science knowledge (data structures & algorithms)OOPS, Database Knowledge (Sybase/ DB2)Required technical SkillsJava Basics/ Core Java / Advanced JavaSpring/ Hibernate/ Struts/ CDIEJB, Web services,Angular,JSP, ServletsJavaScript toolkitsWeb/Application ServersOO and Relational Modeling skillsTomcat, Apache WebserversDesired Technical Skills:CSS, HTML5 a plusExtJS, JqueryGIT Code RepositoryService now, ALM, JIRA conversantStrong SDLC understanding : Waterfall & AgileQA and Unit/Regression Testing experience (Automation preferred)
