Java Developer

Summary of Responsibilities:

The DART/PUT Full Stack Software Engineer is responsible for front to back-end development within a defined system independently, possessing a complete technology stack, process capabilities and agile modern ways of working. Design, develop and implement solutions, based on a set of standards and processes, which establish consistency across the enterprise data, reduce risk and promote efficiencies in support of the organizations goals and objectives.

The Full Stack Software Engineer works closely with key members of the ADM Team including the Product Owner, Scrum Lead, and Release Train Engineer.

Responsibilities:

The DART/PUT Full Stack Software Engineer has extensive experience implementing software solutions using Java code base on both RHEL8 and Windows operating systems along with experience with MongoDB and SQL statements.

Leads the collection and documentation of user requirements as well as the development of user stories and estimates into technology solutions for product features, in collaboration with Product OwnerOversee and enforce code quality standards for all development activities performed by either MetLife or vendors onshore and offshore.

Responsible for detailed technical design and development of applications/platforms. May partner with Product owner in planning. Responsible for front & back-end development. Reviews solution designs and related code.

Investigate and resolve production management incidents, problems, and service requests. Responsible for prioritizing problems, incidents, and service requests, may lead or manage the process with Product Owner.

Identifies and implements operating efficiency solutions for specific product features. Assists in upgrading or patching applications/platforms as needed.

Gain awareness of trends and issues in area of technical expertise, potential new technologies or technology opportunities to champion the customer.

Required Experience:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or Engineering
• 5 to 6 Years of experience with Java Development
• 5+ Years Database Knowledge (MongoDB / MSSQL),
• 5+ Years Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems, Scripting and SQL
• 2+ Years of experience with the consumption of Web Services.
• 2+ Years of experience with Azure CI/CD Pipelines
• 2+ Year Agile Scrum or Safe

Preferred but Not Required Experience:

• .Net, Python and PBI
• Certification in Azure
• Architectural experience.
