Java Backend Lead

Role and responsibilities

Lead a team of software developers and engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship • Architect, design, and develop scalable and reliable software solutions using Java Spring Boot. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement technical strategies. • Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure for deployment, scalability, and cost-efficiency. • Design and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring data integrity and performance. • Identify and resolve technical challenges and issues in a proactive and timely manner. • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and recommend their adoption when applicable. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and best practices within the development team.

Experience and Qualification

Essential requirements: • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven experience as a Technical Lead or Senior Software Engineer, with 8-10 years of hands-on experience. • Expertise in Java Spring Boot and related Spring Framework components • Strong proficiency in AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda. • Proficient in MySQL database design, optimization, and maintenance. • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. • Familiarity with micro services architecture and RESTful API design principles. • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. • Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and motivate a team. • Prior experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus. • Certification in AWS and/or Spring Framework is highly desirable.

Desirable requirements:

• Front-end technologies such as React.js, React Native • NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra) • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines • Serverless computing (AWS Lambda) • Messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, SQS) • DevOps practices and tools • Cloud security best practices
