As a Software Engineer at Capgemini Engineering, we are looking for a proficient Java Spring boot Microservices Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate should have a wealth of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable microservices architecture using Java. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver top-notch software solutions that align with business requirements. Your responsibilities will include: - Developing microservices using Java and relevant frameworks such as Spring Boot. - Creating and managing RESTful APIs to ensure smooth communication between services. - Identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks for optimal system performance. - Writing unit tests and integration tests to uphold code quality and reliability. - Conducting code reviews and mentoring junior developers to encourage continuous learning. - Collaborating with product owners, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. - Participating in Agile ceremonies and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. As a Software Engineer, you will work in the realm of Software Engineering, focusing on the development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions and applications. Your role involves applying scientific methods to analyze and solve software engineering problems, while also developing and applying software engineering practices and knowledge in research, design, development, and maintenance. Additionally, you will be expected to exercise original thought and judgment, supervise the technical and administrative work of other software engineers, and enhance your skills and expertise to meet the standard expectations for the applicable role. Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - Experience: 4 to 12 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on Java and microservices. - Technical Skills: - Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies. - Hands-on coding experience. - Familiarity with API management and documentation tools like Swagger and Postman. - Knowledge of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modeling. - Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
