Java Back End Developer

Youtap Technology Limited is a global financial technology company delivering cloudbased

platforms and white-label solutions that power digital payments, customer engagement, and embedded financial services across multiple markets. We are seeking a Backend Developer to join our Youtap Service Desk team. This role is ideal for a backend engineer who enjoys working close to production systems and

customers, combining hands-on development with operational support to ensure stable, high-performing fintech platforms.

Role Description

As a Backend Developer and support specialist, you will be responsible for the design,

development, support, and continuous improvement of backend services and APIs. You

will provide Level 2 / Level 3 production support, working closely with engineering,

DevOps, QA, and customer-facing teams to resolve incidents, support releases, and improve system reliability.

This role offers the opportunity to work on mission-critical systems, gain deep exposure

to production environments, and directly influence service quality and customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and maintaining backend services and REST APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Supporting production systems through incident investigation, troubleshooting, and resolution
• Designing and optimizing PostgreSQL databases for performance and scalability
• Supporting releases and changes, including deployment validation and postrelease

monitoring

• Contributing to root cause analysis and implementing preventative improvements
• Producing clear technical and support documentation to improve Service Desk effectiveness
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance system stability and Performance

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Strong experience developing backend applications using Java and SpringBoot
• Solid experience designing and supporting RESTful APIs
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design and queryoptimization
• Experience supporting production systems, ideally in a Service Desk, operations, or on-call environment
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills across applications, APIs, and databases
• Experience working with logs, monitoring tools, and incident management workflows
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, version control systems, and automated testing
• Ability to produce clear, structured technical and support documentation
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in crossfunctional teams
