We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing backend systems and APIs, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. The ideal candidate will also mentor junior developers, participate in technical design discussions, and contribute to strategic technology decisions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities (R&R) 1. System Design & Architecture • Lead the design and development of scalable, distributed, and secure microservices using Java and Spring Boot. • Participate in architectural discussions, ensuring alignment with business goals and best practices. • Design RESTful APIs and ensure seamless integration with frontend and third-party services. • Drive performance optimization, code quality, and system reliability.

2. Development & Implementation • Write high-quality, maintainable, and testable code using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies. • Implement Spring Framework modules such as Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Cloud. • Integrate caching, logging, and monitoring mechanisms (e.g., Redis, ELK, Prometheus). • Collaborate with DevOps for CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP).

3. Technical Leadership • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers. • Conduct code reviews, enforce coding standards, and ensure adherence to architectural guidelines. • Drive root cause analysis for complex production issues and implement preventive measures. • Collaborate with product managers and architects to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

4. Testing & Quality Assurance • Champion a test-driven development (TDD) approach and maintain strong unit/integration test coverage. • Collaborate with QA teams to define testing strategies and ensure product quality. • Review performance metrics, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements.

5. Agile Collaboration • Work closely with cross-functional teams (frontend, DevOps, QA, Product) in Agile/Scrum environments. • Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and release management activities. • Provide technical input during story estimation and backlog grooming. Key Technical Skills • Core Java (8 or above), Spring Boot, Spring Framework, and Spring Cloud. • Strong understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and asynchronous communication (Kafka, RabbitMQ). • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis). • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP). • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar. • Solid grasp of design patterns, data structures, and algorithms. • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus) is a plus. Education & Experience • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
