Java Back End Developer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain

  RESTful APIs

  and

  microservices

  using

  Java 17

  ,

  Spring Boot

  , and

  Spring 5

  .
• Implement and maintain

  asynchronous event-driven architectures

  using

  Kafka

  ,

  JMS

  , or

  IBM MQ

  .
• Develop and optimize

  data persistence layers

  using

  MongoDB

  and relational databases.
• Work with

  DevOps teams

  to build and maintain

  CI/CD pipelines

  using tools like

  Jenkins

  ,

  GitLab CI

  , or similar.
• Containerize applications using

  Docker

  and deploy them to

  OpenShift Container Platform (OCP)

  .
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance across services and queues.
  
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product) to ensure end-to-end delivery.
  
• Follow

  best practices

  for code quality, testing, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Core Java (Java 17)

  strong knowledge of multithreading, collections, and functional programming.

• Spring Framework (Spring 5, Spring Boot)

  – REST APIs, Security, JPA, AOP, and Cloud Config.

• Event Streaming / Messaging

  – hands-on experience with

  Kafka

  ,

  JMS

  , or

  MQ

  .

• Databases:

  Experience with

  MongoDB

  (preferred), SQL databases a plus.

• Containerization:

  Proficiency with

  Docker

  ,

  Kubernetes/OpenShift

  .

• CI/CD & DevOps Tools:

  Git, Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus/Artifactory, Helm, and pipelines.

• Microservices Architecture

  – design, communication patterns, service registry, and configuration management.
• Experience working in

  Agile/Scrum

  environments.

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of

  Cloud platforms

  (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with

  monitoring tools

  (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Exposure to

  API Gateway

  and

  service mesh

  (Istio, Zuul).

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in

  Computer Science
