Job Title: Senior Java Developer / Lead Developer Location: Bangalore / Hybrid Shift Timing: US Hours CST/EST (2nd shift: 3 PM 12 AM IST) Experience: 8+ Years Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We seek a highly experienced Senior Java Developer / Lead Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable microservices-based applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java (8, 11, 17) , Spring Boot , Azure cloud services , and observability tools while also demonstrating leadership in managing development teams and client interactions. Key Responsibilities: Technical Leadership: Oversee the end-to-end SDLC , including designing, developing, testing, and deploying microservices-based applications. Microservices Development: Build and optimize Java-based RESTful microservices using Spring Boot from scratch. Good Knowledge of Azure Cloud or AWS or GCP. Observability & Monitoring: Utilize Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk , or similar tools for monitoring and logging. API Integration: Develop and maintain API integrations across systems and services using reactive based programming. Database Management: Work with NoSQL databases such as Cosmos DB/MongoDB and relational databases like Oracle/SQL (if applicable). Agile Development: Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure best coding practices. Team Management: Lead a team of developers, assign tasks, review code, debug issues, and provide mentorship. Client Communication: Effectively communicate with US-based stakeholders through emails, meetings, and calls. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. 10+ years of experience in Java development, design, and leadership . 7+ years of hands-on experience with Java 8, 11 (preferably Java 17 with reactive programming). Strong experience in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security, etc.) . 3-5 years of experience in API integration and microservices architecture . Good experience in observability and monitoring using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk , etc. 1+ years of experience with Azure Java SDK for cloud interactions. 1+ years of experience with NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, MongoDB, etc.) . 1-3 years of hands-on experience in: Azure Services (Azure Service Bus, Azure Functions) CI/CD pipelines Docker & Kubernetes Spring Cloud Kubernetes JUnit for testing Good understanding of Agile development environments . Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field. Previous experience as a Lead Developer in the Financial Services domain , overseeing the SDLC will be a plus. Experience managing teams of at least 6 developers Strong knowledge of MongoDB , and SQL and NoSQL. Relevant Azure / Java certifications are a plus. Other Requirements: Must be willing to work during US hours (CST/EST) – 2nd shift (3 PM – 12 AM IST) . Strong communication and client-facing skills to interact with US-based clients effectively. Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills . Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment .
