These services include brokerage and investment advisory, financial and wealth planning, credit and lending, cash management, annuities and insurance, retirement and trust.Private Wealth Management (PWM) is the boutique business within Morgan Stanley Wealth Management that is exclusively focused on the ultra-high net worth (UHNW) client segment. The PWM UHNW Solutions and Innovation Team works directly with the Head of PWM, COO of PWM, regional PWM Management, Private Wealth Advisors across the US. In addition, the PWM UHNW Solutions and Innovation Team collaborates across other specialty businesses including International Wealth Management, Morgan Stanley Family Office as well as cross functional teams across Wealth Management including Product, Finance, Legal, Risk and Compliance.The Analyst will help with the organization and implementation of a number of high-priority ongoing strategic UHNW efforts.
Responsibilities
- Understand the key Private Wealth Management business drivers
- Conduct market analysis on the Ultra High Net Worth market and develop insights on growth opportunities
- Help manage PWM Client/Field Communications: articulating the needs of the PWM business directly with key stakeholders in Ops, IT, Legal, Corporate Services and third-party vendors
- Complex data analyses to drive insights, conclusions, and recommendations (including financial modeling)
- Research and intelligence gathering on major and emerging competitors, including financial performance, growth drivers, positioning, products and new initiatives
- Analyze, optimize, and define business processes and procedures to drive scale
- Create and deliver concise and effective presentations to communicate the business strategy across products, segments, and channels
- Work collaboratively in a high performing team responsible for identifying, assessing, reporting, and capturing operational strategic and organizational business analysis and high-level initiative.
Experience
- Undergraduate degree
- Knowledge about the wealth management business
- Has worked in a team setting and successfully collaborated on different projects
- Led small tasks or projects with manager guidance
- Conducted market research for projects
- Worked with data and is able to synthesize the data for leadership
Skills/Abilities
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Data analysis experience with financial modeling skills
- High-level proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Communication Skills: Advanced level in Written and Verbal communication
- Strong team player, and high energy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
