Position Overview:

A Senior Consultant advises clients on how to best use IT security products when attempting to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, and delivers solutions to meet these objectives.

A Senior Consultant is technically focused with a passion for IT and a solid understanding of information security.  This role is ideal for applicants who enjoy working with clients and are eager to learn more about how to deliver solutions for Identity and Access Management.

You will assist in delivering services to a wide range of UK clients, plus some global clients. This is a very customer focused, hands-on role where the Senior Consultant will be expected to work on customer issues, developments, as well as collaborate with other functional and technical consultants, within the UK Managed Services Team. This role will be remote. The ideal candidate will be able to encourage effective team working by seeking input from team members and will support team members (technically and operationally) in achieving continuous improvement by encouraging ideas and recommendations for procedural, operational and system improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Advise new clients on Product integration, Architecture, Design and Customizations
• Create Architecture/Design documentation for Client Integrations of the product
• Answer queries from Clients about product capabilities
• Configure/Build/Enhancement of solutions for Clients
• Participate in SOW creation by providing estimates/tasks
• Perform BAU tasks
• Provide first and second level technical support for our Software as a Service infrastructure
• Provide end-user technical support for applications, support users to address and troubleshoot application issues
• Work with peers to identify and resolve issues and suggest platform enhancements
• Monitor system performance and availability, maintain and update system monitoring in line with best practice
• Configure and maintain system backup schedules
• Perform routine maintenance and patching
• Develop systems automation and scripts to assist in day to day management of the platform
• Configure and maintain systems batch schedules
• Support clients during scheduled change-management activities
• Prepare documentation and present progress reports to customers

Technical Skills & Experience:

Role holders will be expected to have a mix of the following skills and experience:

• Operating Systems
• Unix
• Linux
• Windows
• Scripting / Programming languages
• Shell Scripting 
• JavaScript
• Working knowledge of at least three of the following tools (or competitor equivalents) and a conceptual understanding of the remainder:
• IBM Security Verify Governance

Other desirable skills and experience

• Understanding of RBDMS, LDAP, HTTP Server & Application Server, Docker Concepts
• Understanding of system integration techniques, e.g. Web Services, APIs, etc.
• Understanding of Federated SSO technologies, e.g. SAML, OIDC, OAuth2, Web Technologies
• Understanding of Enterprise Systems, e.g. SAP, Siebel, Active Directory, Sharepoint, etc.
• Understanding of infrastructure technologies used to support an IAM platform, e.g. backup, centralised logging, SIEM, monitoring, etc.
• Infrastructure Design concepts.

Qualifications

Role holders will be expected to have the following (or similar) qualifications:

• 4+ yrs of experience
• BA or BSc Honours degree
• Various IBM technical certifications in the technologies described above (or competitor equivalents)
• Relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CISSP).

• All candidates must have Linux/Unix, SQL, Java, LDAP, AD, IDM/IAM skillsets.

• People person, you have experience of client-facing and excellent client management skills and good team spirit.
• The primary activities of the position include client communication, testing, issues resolution, and post implementation support. Therefore, you need to be Analytical and a Good Communicator.
• Experience in troubleshooting, application support.
• Understand Database concepts.
• Fluent in English.
• The flexibility to work out of hours.
• Your role is to guarantee client satisfaction and ensure the well-functioning of our solutions. You need to be solution-driven

• It is essential that you have experience with IBM products, or IAM/IDM domain experience
