IT Security Officer

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled and proactive IT Security Officer to lead the security posture of our fintech company. The ideal candidate will ensure that our systems, applications, payments infrastructure, and customer data remain secure, compliant, and resilient.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits regularly.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, breaches, and suspicious activities.
• Manage firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint security, DLP, SIEM, and other tools.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, SOC 2, RBI/SEBI regulations (for fintech).
• Oversee access control, identity management, and secure onboarding/offboarding.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure secure coding practices.
• Lead incident response, root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
• Train employees on cybersecurity awareness and best practices.
• Prepare and maintain documentation: security reports, audits, and compliance records.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• Certifications preferred:
• CEH, CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Lead Auditor, CompTIA Security+.

Experience

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in IT Security, preferably in fintech, banking, or SaaS environments.
• Strong experience with:
• SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar, ELK)
• Cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Network security tools
• Application security testing (SAST/DAST)

Key Competencies

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, ISO, CIS).
• Deep knowledge of networking, firewalls, VPNs, and encryption.
• Ability to handle high-pressure incident situations professionally.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and documentation abilities.

Job Type & Work Environment

• Full-time (US Shift)
• Location: On-site

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
