Job Description

Introduction & Summary:

The IT Security Assessor role involves a critical evaluation of information security programs, policies, and governance of acquired companies to ensure compliance with Novo Nordisk security requirements. Ideal candidates should possess a robust understanding of security frameworks and regulatory standards.

Main Responsibilities:

Core responsibility includesevaluating the security systems of acquired entities with respect to established safety requirements.
  • Evaluate the information security program, policies, and governance.
  • Ensure alignment with standards like NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS.
  • Assess network topology, cloud environments, and data centers.
  • Identify legacy systems and unsupported software.
  • Verify compliance with industry regulations.
  • Review vendor contracts related to security.
  • Assess incident response plans and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Evaluate security awareness and culture.

Key Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of information security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Experience with regulatory requirements (GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Expertise in assessing network and data center security.
  • Understanding of legacy systems and risk assessment.
  • Ability to conduct audits and compliance checks.
  • Knowledge of data classification and encryption practices.
  • Familiarity with incident response and disaster recovery procedures.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with cloud security assessments.
  • Certification in information security (CISSP, CISM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with third-party risk management.
