Job Summary:

Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN)
  
• Configure and install software, servers, routers, and other network devices
  
• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues and outages
  
• Schedule upgrades and maintenance without interrupting network operations
  
• Provide Level 2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues
  
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
  
• Ensure network security through proper configuration of firewalls, routing, and switching
  
• Maintain up-to-date technical documentation
  

Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware
  
• Hands-on experience with routing and switching (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
  
• Proficiency in configuring firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA)
  
• Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds)
  
• Familiarity with protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP
  
• Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus
  
• Knowledge of network virtualization and SD-WAN solutions is desirable
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  
• years of proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role
  
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, JNCIA) are preferred

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in network automation (Ansible, Python scripting)
