IT Infrastructure Network Engineer

Role & responsibilities

Configure and maintain network devices as per the standard configuration.

• Plan and execute network migrations and upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Monitor the network performance, identify bottlenecks, and optimize network performance.
• Implement and enforce network security policies and protocols (e.g., firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection systems).
• Oversee network security audits and collaborate with security teams to address vulnerabilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems related to connectivity, routing, switching, and performance.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for network designs, configurations, and protocols.
• Generate reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements for senior management.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to procure network equipment, software, and services.
• Manage vendor relationships, ensuring service level agreements (SLAs) are met and issues are resolved promptly.

Required Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge, Experience Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, STP, HSRP/VRRP, OSPF, BGP, MPLS.
• Hands-on experience with HPE Aruba Central, HPE Aruba Switches and other leading network operating systems.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing firewalls (e.g., Fortinet FortiGate,Palo Alto).
• Strong understanding of VPN technologies (IPsec, SSL VPN).
• Experience with wireless networking (HPE Aruba, or similar).
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., PRTG, SolarWinds, Nagios).
• Knowledge of network security principles and best practices.
• Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, GCP) is a plus.
• Scripting skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for network automation are a plus.

Certifications (Highly Desired):

• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise) or higher.
• Fortinet NSE 4/5 or equivalent firewall certification.
• CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
