Job Title: Computer Hardware Engineer – Retail Tech Support

Location: Hill-Cart rd, Beside Vinayak Hotel, Siliguri

About the Role
Placewell Retail is seeking a skilled Computer Hardware Engineer to join our siliguri outlet. The role involves providing technical support, diagnosing and repairing laptops/desktops, and ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient hardware servicing and after-sales support. If you have a strong background in computer hardware troubleshooting and a passion for customer service, this position is for you.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair laptops, desktops, and related accessories.
• Perform upgrades and part replacements (RAM, SSD, battery, keyboard, etc.).
• Install operating systems, configure drivers, and manage data backup/restoration.
• Deliver on-site technical support to walk-in customers.
• Coordinate with vendors/service centers for warranty claims and replacements.
• Maintain accurate service records and update job cards regularly.
• Support the sales team with technical expertise and product knowledge.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in computer hardware/software servicing.
• Proficiency in handling tools, diagnostic equipment, and repair processes.
• Strong understanding of Windows OS, drivers, and basic networking.
• Familiarity with brands such as HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, and Apple (Mac) preferred.
• Good communication skills in English, Hindi, and Nepali will be an added advantage.
