IT Hardware Network Engineer

Job Summary:

The Hardware, Networking, and Desktop Engineer will be responsible for providing end-to-end IT support, including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware, desktops/laptops, and networking systems. This role ensures smooth functioning of IT infrastructure, efficient resolution of user issues, and compliance with IT security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and OS-related issues (Windows/Linux).
• Set up and configure local area networks (LAN), Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Monitor and maintain network connectivity, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Provide end-user technical support (on-site and remote).
• Perform system upgrades, updates, and security patch management.
• Manage and support email, VPN, and internet configurations.
• Ensure data backup, recovery, and adherence to IT security protocols.
• Maintain IT asset inventory and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for warranty claims, AMC, or escalated issues.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure high availability of IT resources.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelors degree / Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support, hardware, and networking
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, and troubleshooting methods.
• Good understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching).
• Hands-on experience with network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, access points).
• Familiarity with antivirus, system security, and backup tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Preferred Certifications (Optional):

• CompTIA A+ / Network+
• Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
• CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate
