Job Description: IT Executive – Flight Simulator Operations

1. Position Overview

The IT Executive will be responsible for supporting, monitoring, and maintaining the complete IT infrastructure used in the operation of Level-D full-flight simulators. This includes system networks, simulator support computers, operating systems, backup systems, secure communications, and IT-based compliance processes as per DGCA and OEM guidelines.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Simulator IT Systems Support

  • Manage and support simulator-related IT infrastructure including host computers, IOS stations, server hardware, network switches, and storage.
  • Support OEM tools, diagnostic applications, and monitoring software.
  • Assist with simulator data loading, software updates, and database management.
  • Perform routine backups and restoration of critical simulator configurations.

B. IT Infrastructure & Network Administration

  • Administer LAN, Wi-Fi, firewalls, switches, and routers.
  • Maintain secure connectivity between simulator systems and corporate networks.
  • Implement cybersecurity policies as per DGCA and organisational standards.
  • Monitor server performance, network health, and system uptime.

C. DGCA Compliance & Documentation

  • Maintain IT documentation required for DGCA audits.
  • Support the Quality Department during DGCA inspections and QTG runs.
  • Ensure integrity and traceability of simulator data files.

D. Operational Support

  • Provide real-time IT support during simulator sessions.
  • Troubleshoot errors and coordinate with OEM support.
  • Assist in preventive maintenance schedules.

E. General IT Support

  • Maintain office IT systems including desktops, laptops, printers, and AV systems.
  • Support email systems, software installation, and licensing.
  • Monitor antivirus and endpoint security systems.

3. Skills & Qualifications

Essential

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Electronics, or equivalent.
  • 2–5 years experience in IT support; aviation/simulator experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows/Linux OS, networking, backups, and cybersecurity.

Preferred

  • Experience with flight simulators or OEM systems.
  • Knowledge of DGCA regulatory requirements.

4. Key Competencies

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a 24/7 environment.
  • Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

5. Work Schedule

Shift duties may be required (24x7 simulator operations).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
