Investment Banking Analyst

Position Overview:

We are looking for a highly analytical Investment Banking Analyst to support financial modelling, research, and preparation of deal materials across M&A and capital markets engagements. The role requires strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude to contribute effectively to live transactions and business development initiatives. This position provides exposure to end-to-end deal processes and offers a strong learning environment for aspiring investment banking professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Modelling & Valuation

• Develop and maintain detailed financial models including DCF, comparable company, and precedent transaction analyses
• Assist in valuation exercises and sensitivity analysis for live mandates and pitches

Pitch books & transaction documentation

• Prepare pitch books, information memorandums, and investor presentations under senior supervision
• Ensure all client-facing materials are accurate, well-structured, and aligned with firm standards

Research & Analysis

• Conduct company, industry, and market research to support transaction execution and business development
• Prepare industry landscapes, company profiles, and benchmarking reports

Transaction Support

• Assist in due diligence and coordination with legal, tax, and financial advisors
• Support data-room management and deal documentation

Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with Associates and senior team members to deliver client-ready outputs
• Ensure timely execution of assigned workstreams with high attention to detail

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related discipline (CA/CFA candidates preferred)
• 1–2 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, or corporate finance
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and basic knowledge of financial modelling and valuation techniques
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and communication skills
• Ability to work in a team-oriented, deadline-driven environment
