Intershop Back-End Senior Developer

You are a skilled Intershop Back-End Senior Developer with over 5 years of Java development experience, including at least 2 years dedicated to Intershop back-end development. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain the back-end components of e-commerce solutions using the Intershop Commerce Suite. Your expertise in Intershop development, strong Java programming skills, and ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a collaborative, agile environment will be crucial for success in this role. Your key responsibilities will include developing, customizing, and maintaining back-end components of the Intershop Commerce Suite. You will write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards. Optimizing back-end performance for high scalability and reliability will also be a key focus area. Collaboration with front-end developers, architects, and other team members to deliver cohesive e-commerce solutions is essential. Effective communication with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions will be part of your daily tasks. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining APIs and web services for seamless data exchange between Intershop and external systems. Ensuring proper documentation and testing of APIs for robust integration is critical. Identifying and resolving bugs, performance bottlenecks, and other technical issues will be part of your troubleshooting and support duties. Providing support for production systems and assisting in post-deployment troubleshooting will also be expected. Continuous improvement is key in this role. Staying updated on the latest features and updates in the Intershop Commerce Suite is essential. Participating in code reviews and contributing to improving development processes will be part of your routine. Your technical expertise should include strong experience with the Intershop Commerce Suite (7.x or later), proficiency in Java, J2EE, and object-oriented programming. Hands-on experience with web services (REST/SOAP), APIs, and microservices architecture is required. Familiarity with Spring Framework, Hibernate, and other Java-based technologies is preferred. You should also have proficiency in working with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, with experience in NoSQL databases considered a plus. Experience with tools like Git, JIRA, and build tools like Maven or Gradle is desired, along with familiarity with CI/CD pipelines. Soft skills such as strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, excellent communication, and collaboration skills are essential for this role. Being able to work independently and mentor junior developers will be beneficial. Preferred qualifications include experience in e-commerce platforms or similar enterprise systems, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and an understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps practices.,
