International Travel Consultant

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented Travel consultant t to join our team. As a Travel consultant , you will be responsible for assisting clients in planning and booking their travel arrangements, providing personalized service, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable travel experience. Your expertise and attention to detail will help create unforgettable journeys for our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Understand clients' travel preferences, needs, and budgetary limitations to offer tailored travel options and itineraries.
• Research and provide accurate and up-to-date information on travel destinations, attractions, accommodations, transportation, and other travel-related services.
• Recommend suitable travel packages, tours, and activities based on clients' interests, ensuring an exceptional travel experience.
• Assist clients in making travel bookings, including flights, accommodations, car rentals, travel insurance, and other travel-related services.
• Utilize computerized reservation systems and online booking platforms to check availability, compare prices, and secure bookings.
• Process and confirm travel bookings, ensuring accuracy of information and timely delivery of travel documents to clients.
• Coordinate with airlines, hotels, tour operators, and other service providers to manage bookings, resolve issues, and ensure a seamless travel experience.
• Stay updated on travel trends, industry regulations, and destination-specific information to provide reliable and comprehensive advice to clients.
• Handle client inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally, providing exceptional customer service throughout the travel process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, fostering repeat business and referrals.
• Collaborate with the backend office team to ensure efficient handling of travel arrangements and seamless operations.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the travel agency.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Travel Agent or in a similar role, preferably within the travel industry.
• In-depth knowledge of travel destinations, attractions, and travel-related services.
• Familiarity with computerized reservation systems, online booking platforms, and ticketing procedures.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with the ability to upsell and cross-sell travel products and services.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and provide outstanding customer service.
• Proficiency in using computer systems, including MS Office Suite and travel reservation software.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple client bookings and travel arrangements.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing travel trends, client needs, and industry regulations.
• Passion for travel and a deep understanding of different travel styles and preferences.
• Additional language skills and travel-related certifications are a plus.
