As a key member of the team, your responsibilities will include establishing a reliable network of suppliers for commodity and specialty chemicals, both domestically and globally. You will focus on sourcing activities in the Personal Care, Flavors, and/or Fragrance Industry, fostering strong relationships with manufacturing and trading companies. Collaboration with sales and marketing teams is crucial to align sourcing efforts with organizational goals. Moreover, you will be tasked with identifying and nurturing partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to streamline procurement operations. Quick turnaround times and competitive rate quotations are essential aspects of your role, requiring you to stay updated on industry trends and market intelligence. Maintaining a comprehensive database of supplier information is vital for effective sourcing decisions. To excel in this position, you should possess at least 5 years of experience in chemical sourcing, preferably in a trading or distribution setup. Specialized knowledge of sourcing chemical raw materials in the Personal Care and/or Flavors and Fragrance Industry is highly desirable. A postgraduate degree in management or a related field would be advantageous, along with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
