Description
As a Technical Consultant at Hitachi Energy, you will play a pivotal role in proposing technical solutions and working on consulting assignments using established standards, methods, and technologies to develop solutions and resolve issues. In this role, you will lead the development and alignment of products and services to meet customer needs, ensuring the successful delivery of complex assignments. You will define and implement best practices while reviewing and approving tasks executed by team members. Additionally, you will manage contract-related activities including invoicing, work-in-progress tracking, and adherence to contractual commitments. Your responsibilities will also include developing work plans, cost estimates, and ensuring timely, high-quality delivery within budget constraints. Furthermore, you will be involved in conducting risk and opportunity assessments and leading mitigation strategies to ensure project success. You will drive business growth by identifying new and repeat consulting opportunities, building strong client relationships, and leading strategic customer initiatives. This will involve negotiating contracts and supporting key tenders to meet financial and risk targets. Additionally, you will mentor consultants, represent the organization at technical forums, and promote innovative solutions aligned with Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. To be successful in this role, you should possess a Master's degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or a related field, along with 0 to 4 years of experience in design or power systems. You should have proven experience in the electric power industry, with a strong knowledge of markets, systems, and equipment. Expertise in power system studies with a consulting approach, including design and performance analysis, is crucial. Proficiency in simulation tools such as PSSE, EMTP, ETAP, and/or Dig SILENT Power Factory is required. Moreover, experience in proposing solutions for BESS, FACTS, E-mobility, smart cities, and transmission & distribution planning is essential. You should have a strong understanding of energy policy, regulation design, and power system equipment. Demonstrated leadership in advising private and public sector clients on regulation, operations, and strategy at national and international levels is highly valued. Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English are necessary for this role.
