Intern Data Operations Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible to support and development of the data flow for DataOps Server.
• Should have hands-on experience in NiFi or any mediation/ETL services
• Provide extended support for ETL/mediation, revenue assurance and correlation system along with MNOs.
• New features/enhancement development and deployment.
• Provide technical support on data transformation projects.
• Understand the business requirements, and develop logics, reports, KPI and metrics.
• Support team members for multiple cloud architectures and its components.
• Day-to-day operation/monitoring of existing/new DataOps modules.
• Proactivity support during critical DataOps servers alert include Out-of-office supports.
• Work closely with Project managers and other team members to develop/implement changes, upgrades and migrations where necessary, and provide support.
• Attend meetings and gather requirements for migrations and change of process.
• Active participation and clear documentation on various ongoing projects and recommendations on the future requirements and maintenance issues
• Add-on knowledge on AWS services appreciated.
• Add-on knowledge on MySQL, MS-SQL, Redis and other SQL/No-SQL related databases are appreciated.
• Add-on development knowledge on terraforms, salt-stack, flyways are appreciated.

Preferred candidate profile

• Graduate in Computer science & engineering / Information Technology & engineering / MCA / equivalent with CGPA 7.5 or more.
• Post-graduate in MTech Computer science or MCA or equivalent will be appreciated. (Optional)
• Should have experience with Mediation/ETL system with NiFi or similar working/development knowledge.
• Good knowledge in Groovy, Python, C/C++, Java, SQL, Data analysis, VB .Net, Shell scripting etc. (Any 1) (Java or C/C++ is Mandatory)
• Knowledge in Telecom background with CDRs/call flow logic understanding will be appreciated.
• Knowledge in data munging and its tools will be appreciated.
• Should have basis understanding on AWS Cloud Infrastructures and component building (like lambda, kinesis, No-SQL, Redis, Autoscaling, Cloud-watch etc). additional cloud like Azure, Google cloud etc knowledges will be appreciable.
• Should have knowledge of Correlation, aggregation and splitting logic based on the business requirement.
• Good understanding of various KPIs and Metrics used in reporting of Development/ Support projects.
• Should be able to apply Business Intelligence tools, DB Server, data flow and basic development/ enhancement (in Excel, .Net, Python GUI, R programming, Tableau etc.)
• Should have previous experience in Dashboards and data transformation projects executed and managed.
• Knowledge in shell (bash, sh, ksh) scripting, TCL/TK Scripting, awk scripting, batch scripting etc.
• Good in excel and other MS tools
• Self-motivated and capable of working in a cross-functional/product team environment.
• Should have some product development knowledge.
