Interior Designers-Freelancers

As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for undertaking design projects from concept to completion. Your role will involve defining project requirements and schedules, interpreting customer needs into rough plans, setting costs and project fees according to the budget, researching materials and products sourcing, producing sample and mood products, supervising work progress, and working closely with designers, decorators, architects, and constructors. Additionally, you will be required to research and stay updated on industry changes, evolutions, and best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Undertake design projects from concept to completion - Define project requirements and schedules - Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans - Set costs and project fees according to the budget - Research and decide on materials and products sourcing - Produce sample and mood products - Supervise work progress - Work closely with designers, decorators, architects, and constructors - Research and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices Qualifications Required: - Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces including consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions - Expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations - Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or other design programs - Excellent portfolio of previous works - Creative talent, imagination, and an eye for design - Communication and presentation skills - Project management skills - Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or similar discipline - 5+ years of relevant interior design experience - In-depth knowledge of furniture systems and finishes - Demonstrated understanding of basic principles of space planning - Ability to develop and present design concepts - AutoCAD proficiency required - LEED or equivalent accreditation is an asset - NCIDQ or equivalent accreditation required No additional details of the company were present in the job description.,
