Interior Designers-Freelancers

As an Interior Designer, you will be responsible for taking on design projects from concept to completion. This will involve defining project requirements and schedules during the brief, as well as interpreting and translating customer needs into rough plans. Setting costs and project fees according to the budget, researching materials and products sourcing, producing samples, and supervising work progress are also key aspects of the role. You will work closely with designers, decorators, architects, and constructors while researching and following industry changes, evolutions, and best practices. We are seeking an artful Interior Designer with proven working experience in decorating interior spaces, including consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions. The ideal candidate will have expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and installations. Proficiency in design programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, and Illustrator is essential, along with an excellent portfolio of previous works. Creative talent, imagination, an eye for design, communication, presentation skills, and project management skills are also required. The candidate should hold a BS degree in Interior Design or similar field, with a technical/professional background that includes a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline, along with 5+ years of relevant interior design experience. In-depth knowledge of furniture systems and finishes, a demonstrated understanding of basic principles of space planning, and the ability to develop and present design concepts are important qualifications. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required, and additional accreditations such as LEED or NCIDQ are considered assets.,
