Interior Designer

Role & responsibilities

Meet with clients to understand their needs, lifestyle, budget, and design goals.

Develop creative concepts, mood boards, sketches, and detailed 2D/3D plans using software.

Determine space requirements, optimize layouts, and plan flow for functionality and safety.

Choose and specify finishes, furnishings, lighting, fixtures, and decor, considering budget and
quality.

Estimate project costs, create timelines, and manage budgets effectively.

Source suppliers, place orders, coordinate tradespeople (electricians, builders), and oversee
installations.

Research and adhere to building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.

Prepare proposals, drawings, and presentations to get client approval.

Visit sites during construction and inspect after completion to ensure satisfaction and
adherence to plans.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's in Interior Design/Architecture,

AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and similar tools

Budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, meeting deadlines, and managing resources.

Artistic vision, problem-solving, attention to detail, understanding building codes, and

visualization.

Excellent communication (client/team), collaboration, organization, time management, and
client-centric approach.

Awareness of current trends, materials, and sustainable design practices.

• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, 3ds Max).
• Strong communication, project management, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of materials, building codes, and sustainability.
