Interior Designer

• An interior designer creates functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing indoor spaces by collaborating with clients to understand their needs and goals. Key responsibilities include developing design plans, selecting materials and furnishings, and managing the project from concept to completion. They also handle budget management, create detailed plans, source materials, and coordinate with contractors and other professionals to execute the design. Core duties
• Client consultation: Meet with clients to define project scope, goals, and budget.
• Design conceptualization: Develop initial concepts and detailed design plans, including space planning, color schemes, lighting, and furniture layouts.
• Technical drafting: Create detailed drawings and blueprints using design software like AutoCAD or SketchUp.
• Material and product selection: Choose and source materials, furniture, fixtures, lighting, and decorative items.
• Project management: Create project timelines, estimate costs, and manage the project from start to finish.
• Coordination and supervision: Work with contractors, architects, electricians, painters, and other construction professionals to ensure the design is implemented correctly.
• Client presentations: Present design ideas and plans to clients for approval.
• Budget and regulatory compliance: Ensure projects stay within budget and adhere to building codes, regulations, and accessibility standards.
