Job Description

Job Summary:

Integration Lead

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership:

    • Lead end-to-end integration efforts for the Core Banking upgrade program.
    • Serve as the single point of contact for all integration-related activities, aligning with application owners, architects, and delivery teams.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Work closely with Retail Technology and Digital Studio teams to understand application landscapes, dependencies, and integration needs.
    • Coordinate with product owners, solution architects, and third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration planning and execution.
  • Solution Design & Architecture:

    • Define integration strategies and reference architectures across systems using REST, SOAP, messaging queues, event-driven patterns, etc.
    • Design and review API contracts, data mappings, error handling mechanisms, and security protocols.
  • Execution & Oversight:

    • Oversee the build, deployment, and testing of integration solutions across the banking platform.
    • Ensure integration solutions adhere to enterprise architecture, security, scalability, and performance standards.
    • Guide and mentor development teams during design, build, and troubleshooting.
  • Governance & Compliance:

    • Define and enforce integration standards, best practices, and documentation processes.
    • Ensure regulatory, audit, and compliance requirements are factored into the integration layer.
  • Risk Management:

    • Identify integration risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks; proactively implement mitigation plans.
    • Support impact analysis and change management during upgrades or modifications.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 12 to 15+ years of overall IT experience, with a strong background in system and application integration.
  • Proven experience leading

    core banking transformation or upgrade programs

    .
  • Hands-on experience with

    integration platforms/tools

    like MuleSoft, Dell Boomi, Apache Camel, or IBM Integration Bus.
  • Strong expertise in

    API management

    , including Swagger/OpenAPI, API gateways, and security models (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
  • Experience in

    microservices architecture

    , event-driven systems, message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and data synchronization patterns.
  • Solid understanding of

    core banking systems (e.g., Finacle, Temenos, Flexcube, T24, etc.)

    and their integration landscapes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in Agile or DevOps environments.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native integration services (Azure Logic Apps, AWS API Gateway, etc.).
  • Certification in integration tools or enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect).

Education:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
