Insurance Coordinator

As a Health Unit Coordinator, you will be responsible for various tasks related to the administrative aspects of healthcare facilities. Your key responsibilities will include: - Listing out the total number of credit patients (All Insurance) - Sending the Pre-Authorization form to the concerned insurance company - Explaining the Admission & Discharge procedure to patients and attenders - Ensuring that all data and activities are computerized - Monitoring the approval status and providing timely updates on query replies - Performing clerical tasks such as answering phones and processing paperwork - Acting as a liaison between patients, nurses, doctors, and different departments within the hospital or care facility - Scheduling procedures like tests and x-rays, transcribing doctors" orders, and ordering medical and office supplies - Providing guidance, support, and advice to patients dealing with complex medical issues - Assisting patients in navigating through medical care scenarios involving multiple doctors and treatment methods - Properly intimating consultants about credit limits - Maintaining good rapport with consultants - Reporting to the Head of the department Qualifications required for this role include: - Any Degree Holder (UG/PG Arts & Science) - 0 to 1 years of experience in Insurance - Working knowledge of Insurance standards - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - Strong attention to details Additionally, the job type for this position is full-time and the work location is in person.
