Instrumentation Engineer (Flow Meter Installation and Commissioning Specialist)

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer with expertise in the installation and

commissioning of flow meters, particularly in water projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong

background in instrumentation engineering, with a focus on flow measurement technologies. The

primary responsibility of this role will be to oversee the installation and commissioning of flow

meters in various water projects, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with project

requirements and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct site surveys and assessments to determine the optimal locations for flow meter

installation in water projects.

2. Design instrumentation systems and layouts for flow meter installation, considering project

specifications and requirements.

3. Procure necessary equipment and materials for flow meter installation and commissioning

activities.

4. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including engineers, contractors, and clients, to schedule

installation activities and ensure project timelines are met.

5. Install and configure flow meters according to manufacturer specifications and engineering

drawings.

6. Conduct functional testing and calibration of flow meters to ensure accuracy and reliability of

measurements.

7. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to flow meter installation and operation.

8. Provide training and guidance to project personnel on proper operation and maintenance of flow

meters.

9. Prepare documentation, including installation reports, commissioning protocols, and as-built

drawings.

10. Collaborate with project teams to evaluate the performance of flow meters and propose

improvements or modifications as needed.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

2. Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of flow meters, with a focus on water

projects.

3. Strong knowledge of flow measurement principles and instrumentation technologies.

4. Familiarity with a variety of flow meter types, such as electromagnetic, ultrasonic, and vortex flow

meters.

5. Proficiency in reading engineering drawings, schematics, and P&IDs.

6. Experience with instrumentation software for configuration, calibration, and data analysis.

7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

8. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team

environment.

9. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.

10. Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations, such as ISO 9001, ASME, and ASTM, is

desirable.
