Inspection & Packing Supervisor

Role & responsibilities:

• Inspect grey, dyed, bleached, RFD, denim, saree, dhoti, suiting, and shirting fabrics as per defined quality standards.
  
• Perform fabric inspection using the

  American 4-Point Inspection System

  and other applicable grading methods.
• Verify fabric dimensions, defects, shade variation, GSM, and overall appearance against approved standards and buyer specifications.
  
• Ensure inspection processes are followed at every stage of manufacturing as per customer norms.
  
• Record inspection findings, rework details, rejection data, and wastage in inspection reports and quality records.
  
• Coordinate with production teams to address quality deviations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  
• Monitor inspection equipment and ensure proper calibration and safe usage.
  
• Train and guide inspectors and shop-floor staff on quality awareness and inspection standards.
  
• Support process improvements aimed at reducing defects, minimizing waste, and improving overall product quality.
  
• Ensure timely inspection to meet production and dispatch schedules.

• Ensure packing of finished fabric as per buyer specifications, packing lists, and quality norms.
  
• Supervise folding, rolling, tagging, labeling, and baling of fabric materials.
  
• Verify packing quality to avoid damages during storage and transportation.
  
• Coordinate with inspection team to ensure only approved material is dispatched.
  
• Prepare and verify dispatch documents such as delivery challans, packing lists, and invoices (as applicable).
  
• Plan and monitor dispatch schedules to meet customer delivery timelines.
  
• Ensure FIFO practices are followed during dispatch operations.
  
• Handle manpower, material, and packing resources efficiently to minimize losses and delays.
  
• Monitor loading and unloading activities to ensure safety and accuracy.
  
• Maintain dispatch records, MIS reports, and stock movement data.
  
• Coordinate with logistics and transporters for smooth material movement.
