As an Inpatient Booking Assistant at Borders General Hospital, your role is vital in supporting the scheduling of patients for surgery and ensuring smooth communication and coordination across departments. **Key Responsibilities:** - Provide daily administrative support to the Inpatient Scheduling Team. - Act as a first point of contact for patients, handling calls and queries with professionalism and care. - Manage patient records, correspondence, and case notes with accuracy and confidentiality. - Perform general office duties including filing, photocopying, and data entry. - Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality patient care. - Adhere to NHS Borders policies, including information governance and patient confidentiality. **Qualifications Required:** - Advanced keyboard and IT skills, including Microsoft Office. - Excellent communication and organisational skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks. - Commitment to confidentiality and discretion.
