Job Description The Infrastructure Services Technical Lead / Developer acts as the bridge between infrastructure operations and modern application development. This role focuses on automation, data visualization, and web-based tool development to enhance how the Infrastructure Services (IS) team manages systems, tickets, and performance.
The ideal candidate is both a hands-on developer and systems thinker capable of designing dashboards, streamlining workflows, and translating complex operational data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders alike.
Key Responsibilities
Automation & Development
- Design and build scripts, services, and APIs to automate routine infrastructure workflows (e.g., monitoring, provisioning, patching, ticket management).
- Develop internal web applications and dashboards to visualize live infrastructure data (Service Desk, network metrics, asset management).
- Create reusable libraries, templates, and components for automation and reporting.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines and maintain GitHub repositories in alignment with DevOps best practices.
Dashboard & Web Development
- Build and maintain responsive dashboards using Power BI or modern web frameworks.
- Integrate multiple data sources into unified, interactive views.
- Partner with leadership to design reporting tools that highlight SLA compliance, resource utilization, and team performance.
- Ensure front-end usability, accessibility, and visual clarity for diverse audiences.
Technical Leadership
- Serve as a technical advisor to the Infrastructure Services team, providing guidance on automation, dashboard design, and platform integration.
- Lead proof-of-concept initiatives to evaluate new tools, frameworks, or processes for improved reliability and efficiency.
- Mentor team members in scripting, automation development, and API utilization.
Process & Collaboration
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Help Desk, DBA, Network, and Server teams to identify automation and data-reporting opportunities.
- Document system architectures, development processes, and workflows for sustainability and knowledge sharing.
- Contribute to roadmap planning, technical goal setting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications - Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field required;
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or software development with an emphasis on automation and dashboard creation;
- Proficient in PowerShell, Python, or similar scripting languages;
- Experienced in building web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Vue, Node.js);
- Skilled in working with RESTful APIs, JSON, and integrating disparate systems;
- Familiar with monitoring/ticketing platforms such as SolarWinds Service Desk, ServiceNow, or Jira;
- Strong understanding of SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI, Grafana, Chart.js);
- Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and using GitHub for version control;
- Familiarity with AI frameworks or APIs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, TensorFlow, ML-based analytics) is preferred;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities;
- Ability to translate infrastructure operations into user-friendly, web-based insights; and
- Collaborative mindset with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement.
