Project Role :Infra Tech Support Practitioner

Project Role Description :Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products (both remote and onsite) and for configured services running on various platforms (operating within a defined operating model and processes). Provide hardware/software support and implement technology at the operating system-level across all server and network areas, and for particular software solutions/vendors/brands. Work includes L1 and L2/ basic and intermediate level troubleshooting.

Summary:As an Infra Tech Support Practitioner, you will engage in the ongoing technical support and maintenance of production and development systems and software products. Your typical day will involve addressing various technical issues, providing both remote and onsite assistance, and ensuring that configured services operate smoothly across multiple platforms. You will work within a defined operating model and processes, focusing on delivering effective solutions to enhance system performance and reliability. Your role will also include troubleshooting hardware and software issues, implementing technology at the operating system level, and collaborating with team members to optimize service delivery.
Roles & Responsibilities:- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.- Contribute to providing solutions to work related problems.- Assist in the documentation of technical processes and procedures to enhance team knowledge.- Provide training and support to junior team members to foster a collaborative environment.Must have Skills 3 to 5yrs years of experience in DataStax CassandraCandidates should possess a strong bash or ksh scripting experience.DataStax Database maintenanceDataStax Experience with backups / restoresDataStax Experience with other NoSQL databasesHands-on experience in performance tuning Cassandra ringAdvanced knowledge and experience with Cassandra, OpsCenter Exposure to how Map-Reduce/Hive/Pig jobs can run on Cassandra.Excellent communication is a mustGood to Have:Good to have Knowledge on any other database technologies (MSSQL, ORACLE, Postgres, Redis and DB2)Job Responsibilities:Willing to work on 24/7 shiftsHands-on experience with Cassandra tools (node tool, cqlsh, OpsCenter)Primary operational support for assigned database environments, as well as backup support for other environments with 24/7 supportProficiency in Apache Cassandra administration (backups, repairs, upgrades)Responsible for database and system performance, including database monitoring, problem analysis, and tuning activities to ensure optimum database performanceParticipate in on-call rotation and respond to critical database incidents Work with application development groups and system administrators to determine the best storage, access, and distribution methods for dataParticipate as a project team member providing vital information regarding database tools, structure, physical design and implementationProfessional & Technical Skills:

Proficiency in Cassandra administration- Strong understanding of Cassandra database architecture and performance tuning.- Experience in Cassandra tools (node tool, cqlsh, OpsCenter).- Hands-on experience in backup and recovery strategies.- Knowledge of NoSQL.
Additional Information:- The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Cassandra administration- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.- A 15 years full-time education is required. Qualification
