Key Responsibilities:

• Designing and Executing API Tests:

  Creating test scripts, defining test scenarios, and executing tests against APIs to ensure they function as expected.

• Validating API Requests and Responses:

  Verifying data formats, error handling mechanisms, and security aspects of API interactions.

• Ensuring Data Integrity:

  Confirming the accuracy and consistency of data transmitted through APIs.

• Collaborating with Development Teams:

  Working closely with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve API-related issues.

• Automating API Tests:

  Utilizing tools and frameworks like Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or custom frameworks to automate testing processes.

• Identifying and Documenting Defects:

  Reporting and tracking bugs and performance issues discovered during testing.

• Analyzing Test Results:

  Providing insights and feedback based on test execution results to improve API quality.

• Contributing to Test Documentation:

  Creating and maintaining documentation for test procedures, test cases, and results.

• Staying Updated with API Testing Technologies:

  Keeping abreast of the latest tools, methodologies, and best practices in API testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Proficiency in API Testing:

  Strong understanding of API testing principles, including functional, performance, security, and integration testing.

• Experience with API Testing Tools:

  Hands-on experience with tools like Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured, or similar.

• Knowledge of API Architectures:

  Understanding of RESTful and SOAP services, as well as data formats like JSON and XML.

• Test Automation Frameworks:

  Experience with test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) is often preferred, especially for lead roles.

• SQL Knowledge:

  Familiarity with SQL for database interactions and data validation.

• Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills:
