Information Technology Executive/Senior Information Technology

Role & responsibilities

1. Asset & Inventory Management

• Maintain the IT Department Stock Register.
• Manage IT assets of all units (allocation, tagging, movement, and disposal).
• Maintain a register of devices requiring upgrades or replacement.
• Maintain IT Department Consumables Register (cartridges, peripherals, etc.).
• Track asset allotment and maintain the movement register.

2. System & Software Management

• Installation of Operating Systems and required software.
• Perform regular software updates, licensing, and upgrades as needed and maintain the necessary registers.
• Troubleshoot software-related issues and support users with applications.
• Ensure proper backup of critical data.
• Clean temporary files and remove dump data periodically.

3. Network & Internet Maintenance

• Ensure smooth functioning of internet connections.
• Routine monitoring of internet usage, bandwidth, and sites accessed.
• Check and maintain networking cables and perform cabling/crimping when required.
• Setup and maintain firewall and maintain the proper registers for secure browsing and data protection.

4. Security & Antivirus

• Update and monitor antivirus systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve antivirus-related problems.
• Ensure system protection against malware, phishing, and cyber threats.

5. Hardware & Peripheral Support

• Routine maintenance of desktops, laptops, and servers and maintain registers of all these.
• Printer maintenance, cartridge refills, and replacements.
• Setup and ensure proper functioning of projectors, laptops, and video conferencing systems.
• Biometric device setup, calibration, and maintenance.

6. User Support & Troubleshooting

• Attend to user issues related to hardware, software, and network.
• Provide timely IT support for hospital staff and departments.
• Support upcoming projects with setup, installation, and IT infrastructure.
