Role Overview: As an Information Security Engineer at Rackspace, you will be responsible for configuring, improving, modifying, and evaluating security tools and services in the hosting-based environment. Your role will involve conducting technology and system assessments, offering technical consultation to customers, and ensuring unparalleled world-class service. Staying up-to-date with evolving technology and cybersecurity news is crucial to supporting Rackspace Cloud products and resolving security vulnerabilities by collaborating with teams and third-party vendors. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize systems like Web Application Firewall, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, database encryption, Anti-Virus, File Integrity Monitoring, and two-factor network authentication to provide fanatical customer outcomes - Create and maintain customer loyalty by exceeding customer expectations with Fanatical Support - Configure and analyze Web Application Firewall (WAF) blocked events, common web security vulnerabilities, Log Management tools, Firewalls appliances, Load Balancers appliances, IPSEC and SSL VPN technologies, packet capture tools, and networking concepts and devices - Perform Cisco switch configuration and troubleshooting, Windows and Linux operating system administration, understand public cloud security architectures, and provide guidance on deployment strategies - Stay informed about vendor-related roadmaps and execute device firmware upgrades based on security requirements and feature updates Qualifications Required: - Intermediate knowledge of security concepts, principals, and technologies - Familiarity with various security tools including Imperva On-Pre & Cloud (Incapsula) WAF, Alert Logic, Cisco ASA/ASA-X/Firepower, Palo Alto, F5 LTM, Citrix Netscaler, and Wireshark - Proficiency in networking concepts, web servers, database servers, mail servers, name servers, and all OSI Layers - Experience in Windows and Linux operating system administration and public cloud security architectures - Ability to provide guidance on deployment strategies and execute device firmware upgrades - Strong communication skills and a customer-centric approach to support (Note: The additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.)
